Brian Joseph is the General Manager at our 6th Street location, though he didn’t start his Z’Tejas career path as one. Instead, Brian was hired in February 2017 as an Executive Chef, which he worked as until his promotion to General Manager on May 20th.
As General Manager, Brian’s duties include mentoring employees and creating personal connections with guests. Brian has been perfecting these skills over the past 25 years, working as Executive Chefs or various managerial positions at other restaurants. He graduated from the Johnson and Well Associate with a degree in Culinary Arts and has been married to his wife, Angela, for 14 years. Together, they have a daughter, Clara, who is 6 years old. In his spare time, Brian can be found salt or fresh water fishing and working in his yard. Originally from Ohio, Brian and his family now live in Spicewood, Texas.
When Andre Abeliks was hired as Bar Manager at Z’Tejas 6th Street, he brought a lot of talent to our restaurant. With a degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from the Scottsdale Culinary Arts School, in addition to over 20 years of hospitality experience, we knew Andre would be a perfect match for our fresh culture and outstanding staff.
As a Bar Manager, Andre is responsible for ordering food and products, scheduling and executing the daily duties that keeps the restaurant running smoothly. Before working at Z’Tejas, Andre served his country before traveling the world. Now, he has settled down in Austin, Texas with his wife, two kids and two dogs. In his downtime, Andre enjoys watching baseball and going out to eat with friends.
