(GREATER PHOENIX, Ariz.) – Locally-based Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill invites Valley residents to enjoy their 8th annual Chile Fest using the seasonally grown favorite Hatch New Mexico green chiles! Beginning Tuesday, September 4 and running through Sunday, September 23, Z’Tejas will offer their innovative Chile Fest menu at all four Valley locations. One dollar from every entree ordered on the menu will benefit the Sojourner Center, the largest domestic violence shelter the United States, located in Phoenix.
Z’Tejas is also announcing that they will participate in the 2012 Bras for a Cause where they will serve as a drop off location for new and used bras in partnership with local radio station Mix 96.9. Last year, the drive collected over 3,000 bras for women of the Sojourner Center.
“I look forward to Chile Fest every year because it not only shows off what our chefs can do with this specialty ingredient, but it also gives Z’Tejas an additional opportunity to be active in our local community,” said president and CEO Steven A. Micheletti.

LUNCH
Chile Burger
Open flame grilled 8 oz. burger served on a toasted telera bun, topped with fire roasted Hatch New Mexico chiles, caramelized onions and green chile aioli, served with steak or sweet potato fries.
Chile Onion Rings (Lunch and Dinner)
Hatch New Mexico chile and onion rings lightly coated in seasoned flour, fried crispy, topped with Cotija cheese and cilantro, served with Cajun and barbecue dipping sauces.
Chile Shrimp Rolled Tacos
Sauteed chile dusted shrimp mixed with a summer slaw, Hatch New Mexico chile aioli and fried avocado, rolled in a warm flour tortilla. Served with borracho beans and seasonal rice.
DINNER
Pacific Rockfish Veracruz
Blackened rockfish served atop Hatch New Mexico chile cornbread topped with andouille Veracruz sauce, served with seasonal vegetables.
Green Chile Sopes
Braised chicken, shredded lettuce, Hatch New Mexico roasted chile spicy salsa atop borracho bean puree and chile cornbread with a bed of seasonal rice, black beans and green chile sauce, topped with chipole sour cream, Cotija cheese and cilantro.
Chicken and Crab Rellenos (Lunch and Dinner)
Roasted Hatch New Mexico chiles stuffed with achiote chicken, jumbo lump crab, Jack cheese, coconut polenta, topped with salsa fresco, Cotija cheese and drizzled with chipotle sour cream, served with seasonal rice, borracho beans and green chile sauce.
